Festival 2012 –June 16-23

 

The theme will be ‘Going for Gold’

 

• The 1st weekend would be the Exhibition Weekend (Arts and craft,Camera Club,Quilters,Flower Festival etc) weekend at selected locations in the village – plus open gardens and a suggestion this could be expanded to open farm(s)?

• The 2nd Saturday will be a combination of the 1st and 2nd Saturday from 2010 – hopefully running all the activities and possibly more

• Many events from 2010 – including Gardeners Question Time,Comedy night,Creativity sessions,Jazz on the Green,Spartans Barn Dance or similar ,Concert at St Andrews plus others should go ahead again.

 

Some of the above are only ideas at this stage with plenty of opportunity for additional idea/items from all

 

Next meeting 8pm Wednesday October 5th - venue to be confirmed. Everyone welcome to come along and input ideas or offer to participate in some way.

Village Show – Gala Day – 19th June 2010

After the success of last year we’ve ordered an even bigger marquee to host all the flowers and pot plants,fruit and vegetables,floral art,cookery and crafts.

There are now junior classes in all the sections.

Scarecrows

Swavesey Meridian Women’s Club invite the people of Swavesey to enter a Scarecrow Competition to be held during Swaveset Festival week (19th –26th June 2010).

Scarecrows should be displayed in a position visible from the roadway and able to be viewed throughout Swavesey Festival week.

Each entry is £2.50.  There will be a prize for the most original scarecrow.

Gala Day Parade 2010

Join the Parade!!!!

 Yes it is time to get your thinking caps on again!!

Lets make it bigger,brighter and louder!!

 The theme this year will be ‘GO GREEN!’

In otherwords ‘recycling’.

Start collecting your recycling material to make those costumes!!!

It can be what ever you like.

The parade will take place on Saturday 19th June @ 1pm
