SATURDAY 16TH JUNE

Open Swavesey: lots of interesting exhibitions around the village – you will need your Swavesey Passport to take part:

  • Flower festival
  • Quilt exhibition
  • Open gardens
  • Open farms
  • Art & Camera club exhibition
  • Wedding dress exhibition at St Andrews

Aimed at the younger ones, an evening of  lots of traditional games

  • Children’s sports and games at the Windmill

SUNDAY 17TH JUNE

Joint Festival Service at Bethel Baptist Church

Spartans traditional end of season celebrations, tournaments and award presentations

Evening Concert – A high class evening entertainment from Prime Brass and the Swavesey Community Choir at St Andrews

MONDAY 18TH JUNE

Gardeners Question Time – Come along and challenge the experts with your gardening questions

Sport on the Green – Games on the Village Green for the under 11’s

TUESDAY 19TH JUNE

BATS – Babies and Toddlers meet at St Andrews

Harpist Concert by Harpist Rohan Platts at St Andrews plus Strawberry Teas

Library – Children’s’ Tea Bring along your teddies for sporting events

Bell Ringing – Come along and see how the bells are rung!

Custard Comedy – Very popular in 2010 – Comedians at the Swavesey Venue

Sport on the Green – To be confirmed 

WEDNESDAY 20TH JUNE

Bake A Cake – Come along and watch the 2010 Festival Village Show winner Caroline Stephens bake a cake

Family Concert – Swavesey Village College showcases its talent

RADSOC  – Open air RADSOC performance on Market Street Green

Sport on the Green – 5K fun run for all ages, races around the Green, ex GB international Stuart Faben javelin classes and more.   

THURSDAY 21ST JUNE

Swavesey History – A talk in St Andrews Church on the history of this village

Jazz on the Green – A very popular event in 2010. This year another trad jazz evening with Barry Palser’s ‘Savoy Jazz’ plus hopefully some SVC talent, hopefully food available

FRIDAY 22ND JUNE

Willow Lunch Club at Bethel Baptist Church 

Tea Dance Afternoon – A chance to dance, enjoy watching and have a delicious afternoon tea

Children’s Disco – A manic 90 minutes!

Barn Dance on the Green – Spartan’s Barn dance on the Green – very popular event in 2010

Night Walk RSPB – Come and join the RSPB for a night walk to spot the late evening fliers

SATURDAY 23RD JUNE

Festival parade – This is your chance to celebrate the 2012 Olympics with themed costumes

Village show – Classes for handicrafts, produce, cookery for all ages.

Stalls – The usual diverse variety of interesting stalls – 30+ stalls already booked

 Games & rides – Come along and enjoy Bouncing Castles, Assault course, Paint Ball shooting, Crazy Golf

Connexions Bus & Swavesey Youth Action – Facilities include: PCs with internet access, PS3, Xbox 360, DVDs, Karaoke, tuckshop, variety of sports equipment, information and advice, quizzes and crafts

Demonstrations – Dance groups

Music & song – Throughout the afternoon we plan to stage a wide variety of musical acts on the stage

Fireworks – End the evening with a BANG!
